Did we tell you that The PRET Foundation is now donating surplus food to us.

We recently collected wraps, sandwiches, desserts, and salads from The Pret Foundation........ but let me tell you a little more about The Pret Foundation.

Here at new ethos Nottingham we like to get to know who we are working closely with and who joins our community our aim is to Empower chance to change so we want to be surrounded by organisations on the same or similar path.

They are tackling hunger, poverty, and homelessness around the world. Using their global reach to make a difference in the lives of people affected by homelessness, hunger, and poverty. They sure that surplus food reaches people who need it, The Pret Foundation offers financial support to charities and helps to break the cycle of homelessness by providing training and employment opportunities at Pret.

APRIL DONATIONS

This month Pret is donating 20p from their best sellers to The Pret Foundation to help then to break the cycle of homelessness. Just 50 of their baguettes sold could pay for an assessment meeting with The Rising Stars employment manager, groceries for a local homeless shelter, or delivery of unsold food to those in need which is what New Ethos Nottingham receives.

The Pret Foundation has always tried to reduce the waste from their shops. They take surplus food to shelters and give it to the people who need it most. For some, it’s their only meal of the day.

The Pret foundation quotes;

"We do it because it’s the right thing to do".

How amazing is The Pret Foundation? great right! and exactly what is needed for people in need, like they have said for some it's their only meal for the day. With the reduction in Universal credits/benefits by £20 just after Covid, homelessness, and the economy increase a little help goes a long way. The surplus food donations from The Pret Foundation does exactly what it says on the tin.

You may not know (just in case you're new) but we collect on a weekly basis, just to make sure that our housemates have what they need to survive and thrive in our current climate.

Thank you for reading our post, please share with people, the community, or organisations that you feel will benefit from it, and also don't forget to comment and join our mailing list so that you never miss an update.

You've been great
